Drone Strike Targets U.S. Embassy in Riyadh; Saudi Defence Ministry Reports Limited Damage
Saudi Arabia has confirmed that the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh was struck by two drones, triggering a small fire and causing minor damage to the building, according to initial assessments shared by the defence ministry on social media.
Reports said a loud explosion was heard early Tuesday morning, with flames visible at the embassy. Black smoke was also seen rising from Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter, an area where many foreign missions are located.
According to Reuters, two sources said no injuries were reported, as the embassy building was empty during the early morning hours.
