Israel Launches Airstrike on Gaza Refugee Camp as Trump and Netanyahu Hold Second Meeting
U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have held a second meeting within 24 hours to discuss a potential ceasefire in Gaza, but no progress has been reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continue unabated, including a recent attack on a refugee camp, following a deadly day in which at least 95 Palestinians were killed.
The United Nations has issued a warning that Gaza's fuel crisis, caused by Israel’s blockade, has reached a “critical point” and is expected to result in further casualties and humanitarian suffering.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s ongoing assault has killed at least 57,575 people and injured 136,879. In comparison, the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israel claimed the lives of 1,139 people, with over 200 others taken hostage.
