Israel halts the delivery of aid into Gaza following the conclusion of the first phase of the truce

Israel halts all humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip and backs out of the truce after the first phase of the ceasefire deal ended without an agreement to move forward with a second phase.

Earlier, Israel had declared its willingness to adopt a US-backed proposal to extend the ceasefire throughout Ramadan and Passover in return for the release of half of the remaining captives held in the enclave.
