Over 200 people have died in the Nepal floods, leaving parts of Kathmandu submerged under water.

Kathmandu’s floods have hit working-class riverside communities the hardest, with climate change and inadequate urban planning exacerbating the devastation.

Floodwaters swept through Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, last week after record-breaking rainfall caused the Bagmati River to overflow.

Over 200 people have lost their lives, and thousands of homes have been damaged in the worst flooding and landslides the Kathmandu Valley has seen in years.
