During a joint press conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and New Zealand's Prime Minister Chris Luxon urged an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Luxon emphasized their shared commitment to bringing the parties to the negotiating table and pursuing a two-state solution. However, Anwar expressed concern over the dim prospects for a ceasefire, pointing out the lack of commitment from influential countries, particularly the United States. He stressed that the only hope lies in convincing the U.S. to adopt a stronger stance to halt the conflict.
