More than 60 US lawmakers have urged the Trump administration to pressure Israel to allow Palestinian cancer patients in Gaza to travel to hospitals in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem for life-saving treatment. In a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, members of Congress called for the immediate medical evacuation of child cancer patients and their caregivers, along with guarantees for their safe return to Gaza.

The lawmakers cited the collapse of Gaza's healthcare system, the destruction of key medical facilities, and the growing number of patients unable to access essential cancer treatment. They also proposed establishing a medical corridor to facilitate urgent evacuations and medical care.
