US and Israel’s military campaign in Iran and Lebanon is ongoing, with fresh strikes reported on a hotel near Beirut and the Assembly of Experts building in Qom, pushing the combined death toll in both countries beyond 800.
For a fourth consecutive night, Tehran has continued retaliatory attacks against Israeli and US-linked targets across the Middle East. Strikes have reportedly hit Washington’s embassy in Dubai and a port in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump stated that the United States is ready to deploy naval forces to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz after Iran announced the closure of the critical shipping route. The disruption is already affecting the region’s energy sector, with Iraq slowing or suspending oil production at the Rumaila field and the West Qurna 2 project.
