The United Nations, several European nations, and China have joined a growing wave of global condemnation against Israel’s plan to militarily occupy Gaza City, warning it will deepen the territory’s already severe humanitarian crisis.

Residents of Gaza City insist they will not abandon their homes, despite Israel’s intention to forcibly relocate hundreds of thousands to camps in central Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, four more people have died of starvation in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of hunger-related deaths to 201.

Since the start of its war on Gaza, Israel has killed at least 61,330 people and injured 152,359. In the October 7, 2023 attacks, an estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel, and over 200 were taken captive.
