‘Unforgivable’ That Gaza Crisis Persists While World Looks On: UNRWA Official

Sam Rose, Acting Director of UNRWA in Gaza, has described the level of stress experienced by Palestinians as unprecedented, saying it surpasses anything seen during the past 20 months of relentless and brutal conflict.

"If the current situation remains unchanged, things will only deteriorate further by tomorrow,"

Rose emphasized that despite the overwhelming circumstances, UNRWA staff in Gaza including teachers, nurses, doctors, and sanitation workers continue their duties simply because they have no other option.

“Many staff members I spoke with earlier this week had once again been displaced due to evacuation orders in central Gaza, yet they still returned to work. And all of them are suffering from hunger,” he added.

Health Ministry Urges Protection for Medical Aid Convoy Entering Gaza

The Health Ministry in Gaza has announced that trucks loaded with essential medicines and medical supplies are set to enter the territory today, coordinated through the World Health Organization.

“These supplies are critically important and urgently needed to continue treating the wounded and the sick and to save lives,” the ministry stated on Telegram.

The statement clarified that the trucks do not carry any food items and appealed to the public to ensure the convoy’s safety. “We urge everyone to make every effort to protect the convoy, prevent any disruptions, and guarantee its safe passage to hospitals in order to save lives,” it said.
