The US President, Donald Trump, has warned big tech companies like Google and Microsoft to stop hiring abroad, especially in countries like India.
According to media reports, Donald Trump addressing the AI Summit in Washington said that American companies should focus more on providing jobs to the Americans instead of giving jobs to Indian tech workers.
According to a report by the Indian newspaper, India Today, he said, “Our big tech companies have been taking advantage of American freedom to build factories in China, employ workers in India and hide profits in Ireland, while continuing to ignore and censor American citizens. Now those days are over.”
Donald Trump said winning the Artificial Intelligence (AI) race will require a new patriotism and national loyalty in Silicon Valley and beyond. He said, “We want American technology companies to work wholeheartedly for America, we want you to put America first, that’s all we want.”
