At least 93 Palestinians killed in Gaza as Israeli strikes hit Syria

Syrian security forces gather near a road sign reading ‘Sweida city”as Syrian troops enter the predominantly Druze city of Suwayda in southern Syria on Tuesday, following two days of clashes

Medical sources have confirmed that at least 93 Palestinians were killed in Gaza over the past 24 hours, including 30 individuals who were waiting for food aid. The death toll is expected to rise as Israeli airstrikes continue across the besieged enclave.

Meanwhile, Israel launched a series of air raids on Syria, targeting key sites such as the Defence Ministry and areas near the presidential palace in Damascus. The strikes reportedly killed at least three people and wounded dozens more.

Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks on Damascus and Suwayda, calling them a deliberate attempt to “ignite tension and chaos” within the country.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s ongoing military campaign has killed at least 58,573 people and injured 139,607. In comparison, Israel reported 1,139 fatalities during the Hamas-led assault on October 7, 2023, with over 200 individuals taken captive.
