Israel launches strike on Iranian security agency; Trump weighs involvement in conflict

Missiles launched from Iran towards Israel are seen from Hebron, in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, early on Thursday morning

Israel claims to have destroyed Iran’s internal security headquarters in Tehran, while Iran continues to launch missile attacks toward Israeli territory.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he is still considering whether to involve American forces in the intensifying conflict.

Earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned the United States that any attack on Iranian soil would lead to “serious and irreparable consequences.”
The death toll from Israeli strikes on Iran has surpassed 240, including at least 70 women and children. Iranian missile attacks on Israel have killed at least 24 people.

Meanwhile, Israel’s ongoing military offensive in Gaza has claimed the lives of at least 55,493 people and injured 129,320, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
In the October 7 attacks, approximately 1,139 people were killed in Israel, and over 200 were taken hostage.
