Explosions shake Tehran and missiles strike Tel Aviv as Israel and Iran enter a fifth consecutive day of deadly exchanges.

The Israeli military claims it has killed Iran’s wartime chief of staff, amid reports from Iranian media that Tehran is preparing what it calls the most extensive and powerful missile assault ever launched on Israeli territory.

US President Donald Trump has stated that he is seeking a “real end” to the conflict rather than a mere ceasefire. In a social media message, he warned residents of Tehran to evacuate, while reiterating that Iran will not be allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that eliminating Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, would not escalate the conflict but rather “bring it to an end.”

The death toll from Israeli strikes on Iran has reportedly surpassed 220, including 70 women and children. Iranian attacks on Israel have resulted in over 20 deaths.

At the same time, Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza has led to at least 55,432 deaths and 128,923 injuries, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. In Israel, approximately 1,139 people were killed and over 200 taken hostage during the October 7 attacks.
