Gaza authorities report that Israel’s “starvation policy” has led to the deaths of at least 326 Palestinians since March 2, as the United Nations warns that 14,000 infants are at risk of dying within 48 hours.

Despite Israel’s decision to allow limited humanitarian aid deliveries, the UN states that no relief has yet reached the people of Gaza.

In response to the worsening crisis, the United Kingdom has suspended free trade negotiations with Israel, while the European Union has announced it will review its political and economic agreement with Israel, citing the “catastrophic” conditions in Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s ongoing military campaign has killed at least 53,573 Palestinians and injured 121,688. The Government Media Office places the death toll at over 61,700, noting that thousands of people buried under the rubble are presumed dead.

In contrast, the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1,139 people, with more than 200 taken hostage.
