Israel strikes Nasser Hospital in Gaza during heavy raids on Khan Younis
Israeli forces have once again targeted Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, following a series of airstrikes that have killed at least six people in the southern Gaza city.
These attacks coincide with a major ground offensive launched by the Israeli military across the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of at least 151 Palestinians on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced plans to permit a limited amount of humanitarian aid into Gaza, though the timeline for the aid's entry remains uncertain.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza has so far killed at least 53,339 Palestinians and injured 121,034 others.
The Government Media Office has put the death toll even higher, at over 61,700, noting that thousands still buried beneath the rubble are feared dead.
In comparison, the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, left an estimated 1,139 people dead and more than 200 taken hostage.
