Israel kills 93 in Gaza; shots fired at diplomats in the West Bank
According to media reports, Israeli forces' attacks across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 93 people since dawn on Wednesday
International criticism is intensifying after Israeli forces reportedly fired warning shots at a group of foreign diplomats visiting the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on the same day.
The United Nations’ chief spokesperson warned that the limited humanitarian aid "finally" reaching Gaza is vastly insufficient to address the severe needs of the enclave’s starving population.
Since the start of the war, Israeli military operations in Gaza have killed at least 53,655 Palestinians and injured 121,950, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. The Government Media Office has revised the death toll to over 61,700, noting that thousands still buried under rubble are presumed dead.
In comparison, approximately 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, with more than 200 individuals taken hostage.
