Israel kills 65 in Gaza as Russia, China, and the UK reject US-Israeli aid proposal
Israeli forces have intensified their assault on Gaza, killing at least 65 Palestinians since midnight, according to medical sources. Among the dead are 45 individuals in northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, Russia, China, and the United Kingdom have rejected a US-Israeli proposal for aid distribution in Gaza. Instead, they have called on Israel to end its two-month blockade of the territory.
While US President Donald Trump currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia has stated he is working to bring an end to the conflict swiftly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared, “There will be no situation where we stop the war.”
The war on Gaza has so far claimed at least 52,908 Palestinian lives and left 119,721 wounded, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The Government Media Office has reported a higher death toll, estimating over 61,700 fatalities, including thousands still trapped under rubble and presumed dead.
In comparison, around 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, with over 200 others taken hostage.
