The Israeli military has announced a series of intense attacks over the past 24 hours, marking the “opening moves” of its latest offensive, dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots.” This operation aims to see Israeli forces take control of designated areas within the Gaza Strip.

In northern Gaza, thousands of Palestinians have been ordered to evacuate as relentless airstrikes continue. Since early Friday morning, at least 115 people have been killed in the territory.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza has resulted in at least 53,119 deaths and 120,214 injuries. The Government Media Office has put the death toll even higher, estimating over 61,700 fatalities, including thousands believed to be buried under rubble and presumed dead.

In comparison, the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,139 people, with more than 200 taken hostage.
