Aftermath of deadly US attack on Sanaa market

Israeli forces have killed 31 people in Gaza and two more in Lebanon, while U.S. airstrikes on a crowded market in Yemen have left at least 12 people dead.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has rejected the findings of an Israeli military investigation into the deaths of 15 emergency responders last month, calling instead for an independent United Nations-led inquiry.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Israeli offensive has resulted in at least 51,201 Palestinian deaths and 116,869 injuries over the past 18 months. Meanwhile, the Gaza Government Media Office reports that the death toll has surpassed 61,700, accounting for thousands still missing and presumed dead beneath the rubble.

On the Israeli side, at least 1,139 people were killed and more than 200 taken hostage during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023.
