A United Nations analysis has found that at least 36 Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, carried out between March 18 and April 9, resulted exclusively in the deaths of Palestinian women and children.
Israeli strikes on Gaza have killed at least 20 people since dawn on Friday, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which reports that 1,542 people have been killed since Israel broke the ceasefire on March 18.
The ministry also states that a total of 50,912 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 115,981 wounded since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Government Media Office has updated the overall death toll to more than 61,700, citing thousands still missing under the rubble and presumed dead.
In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed and over 200 taken captive during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023.
