At least 70 killed in Gaza as Israeli strikes hit homes and tent camps
Medical sources report that Israeli attacks on Gaza since dawn Friday have killed at least 64 people, with the number of casualties continuing to rise.
The UN’s World Food Programme has issued an urgent alert, warning that “Gaza needs food now,” as hundreds of thousands face the risk of starvation.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 51,065 Palestinians have been confirmed killed and 116,505 wounded since the conflict began 18 months ago.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Government Media Office places the death toll at over 61,700, noting that thousands still buried under rubble are presumed dead.
In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed and more than 200 taken captive during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023.
