At least 19 Palestinians killed in Gaza since dawn: Civil Defence
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defence, told AFP that overnight Israeli airstrikes claimed the lives of at least 19 people and left dozens injured across the enclave.
He noted that several children were among those killed.
Earlier reports indicated that at least six people died in Beit Lahiya, in the north, and five more in Gaza City.
Trump, Netanyahu responsible for ‘making Gaza unliveable’Palestinian-American political analyst Omar Baddar has criticized former U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing them of intensifying efforts to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza despite earlier speculation that such plans had been shelved.
Baddar described the meeting between the two leaders as “utterly contemptible,” arguing it reflects the notion that “for the U.S., Israel operates above the law and beyond accountability.”
He directly blamed both Trump and Netanyahu for rendering Gaza uninhabitable.
“They describe it as a dangerous area, but it’s only dangerous because of their relentless bombing and destruction, which has stripped it of the capacity to support life,” he said.
Baddar emphasized that forcing people to choose between death and departure does not amount to voluntary relocation. “This is clearly a case of violent ethnic cleansing and forced displacement,” he said, adding that the actions have been met with “deep contempt” from Palestinian-Americans, the global Palestinian diaspora, and people around the world.
